RSS / Podcasts

RSS and podcasts are the best way to have the news from Skeleton Crew delivered directly to you - news, pictures, tourdates, bizarreness, videos and even new songs!

What is RSS?

RSS (Rich Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication) is a way of keeping track of new content from some of your favorite sites, without having to keep checking back manually to see if any new items have been posted. You can subscribe to sites, such as this one, and receive updates as soon as they are posted, via an RSS reader of your choice. Most email applications now offer support for RSS feeds, or you can use a dedicated feed reader application. A good place to start if you are new to this is to use the google reader. The RSS feed for this site can be found at http://feeds2.feedburner.com/screwit. If you go to this address you'll also see a helpful list of feed readers!

What is a Podcast and how do I subscribe?

Our podcast episodes are the best way to get to see Skeleton Crew's new videos, songs and other fun! A podcast is a rich media file, such as an audio or video file that you can subscribe to in order to receive new "installments" when they are published. You can subscribe to podcasts through Apple's iTunes application or other podcast "catcher" applications. A good roundup of these ican be found at http://www.podcatchermatrix.org. Many radio stations and magazines syndicate their shows, and the advantage is that you don't have to keep checking back to catch a new episode; your podcast application will alert you when a new installment appears and allow you to download and consume at your leisure. You can subscribe to the podcasts from this site at http://feeds2.feedburner.com/screwit - there is a direct link there that will prompt iTunes (if you use it!) to subscribe to our feed, or you can download a podcatcher application of your choice and add the link http://feeds2.feedburner.com/screwit to its feeds.

Enjoy!
